Lock Down Day 31

MOTHER'S DAY...


Its the 31st Day of lock down and it's mothers day here in Nepal known as "Mata Tirtha Aunsi" in Nepali. Mom woke me up wished her happy mother's day, grandmother was there on the phone all the way from Australia again wished her happy mother's day at 6 am in the morning and went back to sleep again and woke up at 7 am. 

After freshening up and reading some literature for the projects talked to aunt and grandmother and wished them happy mother's day and finally ate dinner,

Finishing dinner did the pile of dishes as there were lot of them took me some time to finish those dishes,

There was online classes to attain but Mom wanted to go see granny so my uncle had the pass for his vehicle, so it was easier and mom went with the uncle, 

I was attending the online classes whole time, Dad made me and him some tasty noodles for lunch, 

After then did some internet surfing as usual on other days,

It was only me and Dad for today at home as Mom went to see grandmother, so we prepared the dinner and at the same time there was a strong thunderstorm, rain and hailstones outside, 

After dinner as usual some social media time and the other internet stuffs seeing increasing cases of COVID-19 would conclude my Day 31 of lock down. Till this pandemic gets over

I always wondered about why everyone from every city or corner of our country wants to live in Kathmandu valley. Simply put I got my answer as soon as I came to valley to pursue my higher education. It has more opportunities and facilities to every man who lands his/her foot in this place. Valley is a great, vibrant, diverse city. But, personally I find Kathmandu as not so great city to live due to it's pollution, water problem and traffic jams. And all the time I was highly irritated with these traffic jams, wished there was a way to get to valley from my own hometown under 30 minutes. As I mentioned my hometown "Hetauda" is about 80km by the shortest route and about 220km through the other great city "Bharatpur" from the valley. Lock down Day 1

What I did during the lock down ? These are some of the things I did during the lock down due to COVID-19 or novel Corona virus. 1. We're surviving in a pandemic, observed some of the pandemics from the history got to know that before the industrial revolution i.e. before 1950s every decade a new outbreak was occuring but after the 1950s the frequency of the outbreaks have increased. And as there's always aftershock after an major earthquake there's a possibility of the diseases to recurr as the viruses might mutate.  2. Since, our country has a poor health facility one of my friend being an enthusiastic engineer was trying to make Personal Protection Equiment (PPE) for the medical officers as in case of Italy every 10 in 1 person in Italy who died due to COVID-19 was a medical personnel.
